For this solo project, I researched how to dye fabric using rust and then tested it.

The process starts with coating the fabric with a solution of vinegar, hydrogen peroxide and salt, then placing the objects down and spraying them with the solution again

the piece is then covered in plastic wrap and rolled up.
When heat is applied during processing, the chemical reaction can be so intense it will cause holes in the fabric, which could result in some interesting fabric textures.
